Power-userMulti-tool
🧰 The AI power-user stack: tools by use case
Tool-collecting is procrastination that feels like progress. What you want is a stack: one tool per job, chosen deliberately, connected into workflows. Here's the power-user stack by use case — and the minimal four-tool version that covers most businesses.
The minimal stack (start here)
- A brain — one frontier assistant you go deep on (this library uses Claude; the skills, Projects, and connector ecosystem are why). Every workflow starts here.
- A design seat — Canva-class tool for the template system. AI design tools (Lovart-class) are the upgrade when volume demands it.
- A voice — ElevenLabs/Fish Audio-class for cloning and voiceovers. Only needed the month audio enters your workflow.
- A distributor — scheduling/repurposing (Meta Business Suite free, Blotato-class tools when you're multi-platform). Content that isn't distributed is a diary.
The full stack, by use case
- Writing & thinking: your assistant + shortcuts + skills. No extra tool beats configuration.
- Images: your assistant's built-in generation for concepts; a dedicated image model when brand consistency matters (character work).
- Video: image-to-video tools (Higgsfield/Kling/Runway-class) for product motion; CapCut-class for assembly.
- Building: AI app builders (Lovable/Bolt/Emergent-class) for sites and tools; Claude Code when you want ownership and depth.
- Automation: MCP connectors first (the first three), Zapier/Make-class for tool-to-tool plumbing.
- Meetings & notes: your platform's built-in recorder + the extraction prompt before buying anything.
The rules that keep a stack a stack
- One per job. Two video tools means you're proficient at neither. Pick, commit for a quarter, then re-evaluate.
- The brain is the hub. Every tool's input or output should touch your assistant — scripts written in Claude flow to the video tool; results flow back for analysis. Tools that can't connect to the hub earn their place or leave.
- Classes over brands. Tools change monthly; the JOBS don't. Learn "image-to-video" as a category and you can switch brands in an afternoon. Chase brand hype and you're re-learning forever.
Audit quarterly with one question per tool: "what did this produce last month?" No answer, no renewal. A lean stack you've mastered beats a full one you tour.
