๐Ÿค– The 8-role AI marketing team: full build guide

The endgame of everything in this library: instead of one AI chat doing everything shallowly, you set up a team of specialized AI roles โ€” each with its own job description โ€” and run your marketing through them like a tiny department. Here's the 8-role system and how to build it without writing code.

The 8 roles

  1. Strategist โ€” owns the monthly plan and priorities.
  2. Researcher โ€” watches competitors and what your audience responds to.
  3. Copywriter โ€” posts, ads, emails, in your voice.
  4. Designer โ€” visual direction and template briefs (brand kit guide).
  5. Video scripter โ€” hooks and scripts (structure here).
  6. Ads analyst โ€” reads performance, proposes tests (the 5 skills).
  7. Community manager โ€” reply drafts for comments, DMs, reviews.
  8. Reporter โ€” the weekly one-page rollup (reports guide).

The build: Claude Projects (no code)

Create one Claude Project per role (or one Project with 8 saved role prompts if you prefer). Each role gets a job-description prompt:

You are my [ROLE] โ€” one of 8 AI roles running marketing for [business, town, audience, brand voice]. Your job: [2-3 sentences]. You always: [role's standards โ€” e.g., for Copywriter: match my voice samples, one CTA per piece, no hype words]. You never: [boundaries]. When my request belongs to a different role, say so instead of doing it badly. Here's standing context about my business: [paste your brief once].

The weekly rhythm (this is the system)

Monday: Strategist sets the week's 3 priorities โ†’ hand them to Copywriter/Designer/Scripter as briefs โ†’ midweek: Ads analyst and Community manager passes โ†’ Friday: Reporter compiles. Each handoff is you pasting one role's output into the next role's chat. Total: 2-3 hours a week for output that used to take a team.

Why roles beat one mega-chat

Focus. A prompt that tries to be strategist, copywriter, and analyst at once does all three at 60%. Narrow job descriptions with clear standards get you specialist quality โ€” same reason real teams have roles.

You're still the CMO. The team drafts; you decide. Numbers get verified, claims get fact-checked, and anything public gets your eyes before it ships. The system multiplies your judgment โ€” it doesn't replace it.
Start with three roles โ€” Copywriter, Analyst, Reporter โ€” and add the rest as the rhythm sticks. An 8-role system you actually run beats a perfect one you abandon.
