The structure every short video needs
- Hook (0–3s): a question, bold claim, or problem your viewer recognizes.
- Body (3–45s): one idea, shown not told. Steps, a demo, a before/after.
- Payoff (45–55s): the result or the lesson in one line.
- CTA (last 5s): one action: follow, call, visit, comment.
The scripting prompt
You are a short-form video scriptwriter. My business: [what you do, where]. Audience: [who watches]. Write a 45-second video script about: [topic]. Format as a two-column table: LEFT = spoken words (conversational, like talking to a neighbor), RIGHT = what's on screen (shots, text overlays). Give me 3 different hooks to choose from first, then the full script using hook placeholder [HOOK].
Make it sound like a person
Read the script out loud once. Anywhere you stumble, tell the AI: "Line 4 sounds written, not spoken — make it something a real person would say." Repeat until it reads like talk.
