Step 1: Build your master resume
One long document with everything — every job, project, number, and skill. It's raw material, not the thing you send.
Interview me to build a master resume. Ask about each role one at a time: what I did, what changed because I did it, any numbers (revenue, time saved, people managed, growth). Push me for specifics — if I give a vague answer, ask a follow-up. Then compile everything into one organized document.
Step 2: Tailor per application (10 min each)

1. List the top 8 things this employer is screening for.
2. Build a one-page resume from my master doc that leads with my most relevant experience, mirrors the posting's language where honest, and cuts everything irrelevant.
3. Flag any gaps between the posting and my background so I can address them in the cover letter instead of hiding them.
Never let AI invent experience. Tailoring means emphasis and ordering, not fiction. Interviewers find fiction fast.
Step 3: Cover letters that don't sound like AI
Write a cover letter for this posting using only true details from my master resume. Rules: no "I am writing to express my interest," open with a specific reason I fit THIS company [paste one thing you learned researching them], keep under 250 words, sound like a person talking, end with a confident but not arrogant close.
Step 4: Track it like a pipeline
Make a simple spreadsheet: company, role, date applied, status, next action, contact. Ask AI to draft your follow-up messages ("polite check-in, one week after applying, under 75 words"). Most candidates never follow up; the ones who do get remembered.
