🌃 Make Claude work while you sleep

The quiet upgrade nobody talks about: Claude can work while you're not there. Scheduled tasks that run on a timer, and long agent jobs you park before dinner and review with coffee. Here's the overnight setup, with the guardrails that make it safe to sleep through.

Pattern 1: Scheduled tasks (the timer)

Claude supports scheduled tasks — recurring jobs that run automatically ("every morning at 6," "Fridays at 4"). The ones that earn their slot:

• The morning brief: calendar + priorities + "the thing that'll bite me today," waiting when you wake.
• The Friday report: the weekly report, assembled on schedule instead of by memory.
• The Monday marketing check: review replies drafted, week's post queue confirmed (the routine, on rails).

Set one up by asking: "Every weekday at 6am, [job]" — and design the output to land somewhere you'll see it.

Pattern 2: The parked agent (the long job)

Big batch jobs — fifty ad variations, a folder of documents to process, a site's pages to draft — run as an agent task you start before stepping away:

Overnight output is unreviewed output. The deal you make with yourself: nothing generated overnight ships before a human pass. Morning routine: read the flags first (they're where judgment was needed), spot-check 20% of the routine output, then release. Ten minutes reviewing eight hours of work is the whole trade.
